Full Moon

((Written for a Writers Club activity at school))

He’s normal
Brown hair
Light skin
Grey eyes

Until the full moon

He’s ordinary
Shy grin
Sweet tooth
Lots of friends

Until the full moon

He’s regular
Not too tall
Not too short
A little bit skinny

Until the full moon

Then he becomes strange
Long limbs
Long tail
Muscled and ragged

Under the full moon

He becomes dangerous
Piercing howl
Sharp teeth
All alone

Under the full moon

He becomes savage
Grey fur
White claws
Amber eyes

Under the full moon

Sniffing, growling, hunting, howling

Under the full moon

we never really know anybody
